Introducing a new Gigabit, Multi-Gigabit and 10-Gigabit Smart Managed Pro Switch Family for future-proof deploymentsBusinesses need to be ready for future expansion: with incoming new multispeed devices, their wired network needs to expand its reach and scope to support speeds greater than 1 Gigabit. The IEEE 802.3bz standard paved the way for new 2.5 Gigabit and 5 Gigabit speeds in addition to legacy 1 Gigabit and 10 Gigabit per second. New servers, workstations, storage devices, and motherboards are coming with 802.3bz (NBASE-T) Multi-Gigabit Ethernet for 2.5X to 5X faster speeds up to 100 meters (323 feet) on legacy CAT5e / CAT6 cables. That is why NETGEAR launched its new Multi-Gigabit Smart Managed Pro Switches with 10G Copper/Fiber Uplinks. Each port automatically detects which speed is needed by the connected device and provides the adequate speed. As opposed to regular 10-Gigabit switches that will only provide 1-Gigabit connectivity to any device that require less than 10-Gigabit, the MS510TX and MS510TXPP give the exact speed required, with no downgrade. Also, the new NETGEAR Multi-Gigabit switch ports can connect regular CAT5e Ethernet cables, without the need to upgrade to CAT6 wiring, therefore reducing wiring costs and hassle. Access, Aggregation or Collapsed Core: You can now have your PCs, printers and routers/firewalls connected at 1G and aggregate Multi-Gigabit Ethernet new devices on the same switch, all line-rate. 10G copper and fiber ports are ready for local servers and storage, or high-speed aggregation to your network core.
ECO-Friendly The AT-GS950/8 eco-friendly WebSmar t switch conforms with Allied Telesis‘ commitment to environmentally friendly processes and products. It is designed to minimize power consumption through the use of a high efficiency power supply and a low power chipset. With a low 8.4W typical power consumption, and a reduction in power during after-work hours (overnight mode) – as well as other power saving features included as standard, the Allied Telesis AT-GS950/8 truly lives up to it’s name as an ‘eco- friendly’ switch. Not only does this help the planet by reducing the carbon footprint of each switch, it also lowers the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) to the user, as the product costs less to run, and has improved reliability. With all of these power saving features, the new eco friendly AT-GS95050/8 saves the user over 25% in power consumption over non eco- friendly models. Performance Allied Telesis’ WebSmar t switch integrates the simplicity of unmanaged switches with the performance and reliability of managed switches to provide a cost-effective solution for users to integrate management at the edge of their network. This WebSmar t switch provides a network manager some key features using the simple web-based management function such as; por t-based VLANs, IEEE 802.1p QoS, por t trunking/link aggregation, por t mirroring, priority queues and IEEE 802.1x security suppor t. With suppor t of up to 8K MAC addresses and a 4MB packet buffer the AT-GS950/8 WebSmar t switch is an ideal option for integrating management into your network solution.
The DPE-302GE 2-Port Gigabit PoE Extender allows a Gigabit Power-over-Ethernet connection to be extended up to 500 m1. It is designed to supply data and PoE power to devices such as PTZ IP cameras or 802.11ac wireless access points over extended distances. With several mounting options, the DPE-302GE allows PoE devices to be deployed virtually anywhere over longer distances, eliminating the need for a nearby power outlet and attached power supply. Powers More Devices Over Longer Distances The DPE-302GE offers a plug-and-play PoE solution, capable of transmitting up to 10 to 28 W of output power. It allows connection of up to two devices over a maximum distance of 500 m by daisy-chaining up to 4 units. With support for PoE/PoE+ and Gigabit speeds, the DPE-302GE is designed to be deployed in situations with high bandwidth requirements, over long distances. Flexible Deployment The DPE-302GE is powered by consuming only a very small fraction of PoE power. Combined with three flexible methods of mounting (built-in magnet, screw anchors, and Velcro), the DPE-302GE can be deployed virtually anywhere. This PoE solution frees network devices from the restrictions of power availability by removing the need for a local power source. The DPE-302GE has built-in 4 kV surge protection and is also capable of operating in temperatures of up to 60 °C (140 °F), allowing it to be deployed in harsher environments. Reliable Connectivity The DPE-302GE 2-Port Gigabit PoE Extender intelligently communicates the maximum available current with a Powered Device (PD). This protection feature keeps the device safe from damage by preventing it from powering on in case there is not enough current. This safety feature can also automatically disable the port in the event of an electrical short circuit.

FS710 series- 802.1x auth with EAPOL passthrough When 802.1x authentication is executed, EAPOL packets is sent from supplicant. However if the switch does not support EAPOL passthrough, EAPOL and EAP packets is forwarded to Authenticator. As a result, authentication does not start.FS710 series supports EAPOL passthrough, so it is suitable as HUB when using 802.1x auth with EAP.
